It's a BOY!!

We found out on Friday that we are having a boy! We went to one of those 4D places because I have been very sick and was a little impatient to wait until my 20 week appointment to see the baby and hear the heartbeat- and I was also hoping we would find out what we are having! His name is Luke Daniel English and we could not be more excited!!

That same day I was also put on a Zofran pump to help control my sickness and maybe let me eat a little. It has not been very fun- I think it is helping a little, but I still can't eat very much and it really hurts to stick myself in the stomach everyday! Hopefully this will not last much longer.

Today my best friend and I went to the Kidd Kraddick studio to see Steven Tyler. Aerosmith is my favorite band, and I will admit- I have had a HUGE crush on Steven Tyler since I was little! I got to meet him and he signed a little tshirt for Luke! It was awesome!

I started selling Scentsy a few months ago. It is the best stuff ever! I have a warmer in pretty much every room of my house- and it smells great! This month they brought back a bunch of discontinued scents- I am most excited about Sizzlin Coconut and Fried Ice Cream! They also added a Texas Tech and A&M warmer to their college collection. Sickness and Cravings

I will be 12 weeks on Friday, and I have to admit this has not been the easiest 12 weeks of my life! It has been a very exciting time, but I have been SO sick. My "morning sickness" lasts all day, and even though I feel hungry a lot of the time- most of what I eat rarely stays down for long. It is a very strange thing to throw up one minute and be hungry the next! I have been craving some things though, mostly sour or salty things. And some of the meals that seem to not bother me are pretty strange and totally unhealthy. I have really tried to eat more fruits and veggies- but most of that makes me gag. Here are some of the things that I think are wonderful right now:

Nice, huh?! I am hoping that as soon as this first trimester is over, my sickness will end and I will be able to eat like a normal person! We go to the doctor again on July 14, and then again at the end of August to find out what we are having!

We're Having a Baby!

It has been forever since I have blogged but I am going to attempt to start up again since I am having a baby!! I am about 10 weeks and we had our first sonogram yesterday. It was the most amazing thing in the world to see our little baby moving around and hear that beautiful heartbeat! We are SO excited and so blessed! I have been pretty sick for the last 3-4 weeks, but hopefully that will not last too much longer. I am teaching summer school, and even though I am finished teaching by 11:30, I come home and take a nap almost everyday! Here is our baby's first picture!

Honeymoon

We went on a 5 night cruise to Mexico for our honeymoon. Danny has never been on a plane, and we didnt want to make our honeymoon that first adventure! So we took a boat instead- it was a lot of fun and very relaxing. And the food and drinks were SO good... too good :) Here are some pics from our trip.....

Well, it has been forever since I have blogged!! Things got crazy busy right before the wedding and we just got back from our honeymoon on Saturday.

The wedding was wonderful! Although, I have to admit I was slightly stressed the week before. And by slightly I mean REALLY stressed! I tried so hard not to be, to just enjoy every minute of the craziness. But several things were going wrong- and then the 80 degree weather decided to turn back into winter- oh and all the RAIN!! But, in the end- the rain stopped, my dad worked so hard and made things a little less muddy, and best of all we are MARRIED!!

The Honeymoon was awesome- so relaxing. We went on a cruise to Mexico. Pretty sure the 24 hour pizza and ice cream bar were my favorite things :) I will post pictures of our trip later. But for now go check out some of the wedding pics. Brandi Thompson is absolutely amazing.... we couldnt be happier with the pictures. Go to her blog to check them out!

3. Start and stick to an Extreme Wedding Diet.

4. Work out everyday... maybe worked out once or twice.

Found One!

Well, I found a dress- and there were no tears! Well, I didn't have tears but my mom and my sister and my 2 best friends did... thats a good sign I think :) Its not the one I thought I would get, but as soon as I put in on I knew it was the one. I really wanted to post a picture of it- but my mom says I can't! Oh, well- just a few more months.

I am off of work all week and I am so happy! I love my job, but I think Kindergartners can sense a vacation coming and it makes the week before a break really really LONG! I started packing today- and tomorrow we will start cleaning and painting the new house. One of these days I will remember to take my camera along so I can post some pictures of it. Because I really must show everyone the lovely wallpaper before I rip it off :)

Danny and I had our second premarital counseling session today- its been really good for us and I am so thankful that we have such wondeful people working with us. We are so grateful for Providence Church.

Ok, I am going to pack more boxes now. Or maybe go to bed :)

Wedding Dress Shopping

I'm supposed to be excited right?? I am kind of dreading it. Not because I don't want to get married.... I am very excited about that! I am just a horrible horrible shopper. And 9 times out of 10, I end up in the dressing room crying. Anyway, I am taking some good people with me on Saturday- hopefully there will be no tears and I will be one of those "Oh, it was the first dress I tried on..." type of people. Wish me luck!

Danny and I signed a lease tonight for a home in Aubrey! We are very excited! I will live there until we get married in March, but it is just a few streets down from where Danny is living right now. It is an older home (with really ugly wallpaper!) but it is perfect for us right now. I will post some pictures soon!

I got to go visit my best friend and her family this weekend in Wichita Falls. Grace and I took Isaiah trick or treating while Delawrence stayed home with Iris on candy duty. While Grace and I were walking Isaiah around I was remembering all the times we went trick or treating together growing up- I can't believe we are now old enough to have our own kids to take!!

We had a fun night of carving pumpkins. Danny made a Yoda- the only way I can get him to get into fun holiday traditions is to bribe him with Star Wars :) At Easter he made Star Wars eggs! I think mine turned out pretty good too!

Amber will be one of the bridesmaids. She is my roommate

and has helped more than she will ever know!

Stephanie will be a bridesmaid. She is not only one of my best friends, but she is also a good friend of Danny's. She has been there for every step of our LONG journey :)

Madison will be one of my flower girls. She is Stephanie's daughter and was also in my class a couple of years ago.

Kyrstin will be one of my flower girls. Her mom is Kari, one of my very best friends!

These two boys are going to be my ring bearers. Isaiah is Grace's son, and Jack belongs to Emily. I LOVE them both so much!

Megan will be my maid of honor. She is my wonderful sister and best friend!

Grace will be my Matron of Honor- we have been best friends for 25 years. I would be lost without her.

Emily will be one of my bridesmaids. We have been friends for about 6 years. She always makes me laugh- and I have never met anyone else who is so much like me or gets me the way she does!

Beth will be one of my bridesmaids. We met in college and became fast friends. She lives in Arkansas so we don't get to see each other very often, but we always pick up right where we left off!

The Proposal

Danny proposed to me on July 25th and although we had been talking about getting married for a while- it was a complete surprise how and when he finally asked me. I was supposed to be going to a party with my mom and sister that night, but my mom called and cancelled at the last minute. So I called my sister to see if she wanted to hang out, and she blew me off. My roommate and her friend left for a movie without really asking me, so I felt like she blew me off too! I was kind of feeling sorry for myself all alone on a Friday night. Finally I talked Danny into going to see a movie. But he kept acting like he was busy, and kept changing what time we were leaving. So, by the time he actually got to my house to pick me up I was slightly irritated with everyone! We get in the car and he said that one of the coaches he works with had called to ask him to go to the football stadium to turn the lights out- which by the way would make us late for the movie. Pretty sure I started acting like a big brat right about then :) We got to the stadium and he asked me to get out with him-sigh- so I did and we started walking out on the field. It occured to me about the 50 yard line that the light switch was not on the field. Right about that time I saw my favorite picure of us flash up on the scoreboard and it said "Jessica Jones will you consider Jessica English?" He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! I was really shocked but of course I said yes. Right as I said yes I heard a bunch of people cheering- which surprised me because the stadium was all dark. I looked up and our families and friends were watching the whole thing from up in the press box! Danny did such a great job planning everything and making it such a special night not just for me but for our families too!

I never really thought I would have enough to say to start blogging.... but now that I am getting married I thought this would be a good place to talk about wedding planning to save Danny from having to listen to me! I also thought it would be fun to look back on this time in my life (our engagement and wedding planning) because I am sure its going to be crazy :)
